Xero-to-monday.com job costing for a steel fabricator
A steel fabrication contractor runs its projects, sub-jobs and fabrication stages on monday.com and its accounts in Xero. Skofi built Make automation that brings the accounts to the projects: supplier bills, credit notes and sales invoices posted to the right project and sub-job. The current build is switched off.

The organisation
The contractor fabricates steel for projects that break down into sub-jobs, and each piece moves through stages from assembly to welding to dispatch. monday.com holds the projects, sub-jobs, stages and hours; Xero holds the bills, credit notes, purchase orders and invoices.
Job costing needs both. A supplier bill matters to the project it was for and a sales invoice to the project it bills. Linking them by hand, across a growing set of boards, was the work to remove.
The Make estate has been through two generations: a first sync in 2024 and a rebuild between November 2025 and March 2026. This page draws on the complete parts of the rebuild.
The outcome
42 scenarios in the account, all switched off, with no usage this period and no history in Make's retention window.
The flow described here is eleven of them: a bills parent of about 79 modules with four half-year sub-scenarios, the same structure for credit notes, and an invoice mirror of about 25 modules.
Where it stops
Nothing here is running, so there are no run figures. The first-generation sync, purchase orders, receivable credit notes, the scenario that keeps project links in step across boards, the fabrication-stage date stamps and the hours scenarios are not described, either because they were superseded or because they could not be confirmed as complete builds.
